The tufting gun is great, easy to use, and pretty straightforward. The included yarn is fine… basic… but in my opinion, not enough to cover much surface area. But I guess it's a good yarn to practice with. You'll definitely need a frame. I recommend a winder, as it makes the process much easier in my opinion, again. The scissors are great and, again, a good, easy to use set. This is almost a complete set perfect for getting started: get a frame, a winder, and plenty of yarn. It's a really fun craft that might give you the opportunity to have a new side job :

It doesn't have the little bottle of oil inside for the cutter.

I bought this thinking it would come with the scissors and extras like it said, but unfortunately only the gun came and I will be returning it.

used this tufting gun to make a beautiful custom printed rug, and it works very well. I wasn't proficient at first, but after a little practice, I found the effect to be really good. It helped me finish the job quicklydefinitely a faster process and a much more finished look compared to hand tufting. A pleasant shopping experience.

I'd never tufted before getting this kit, but a friend had something similar and showed me how much fun she had at it, so I wanted to try the hobby myself. The kit came with everything I needed to get started. It took me a minute to master, but once I got the hang of it, the process was pretty smooth. My first rug is far from perfect, but I'm excited to work on the next one.

I bought this tufting gun to try out, and I've been making rugs ever since! It's made about 29 rugs so far, and it doesn't look like it's going to give up! Get some sewing machine lubricant and take care of it. There are probably better guns out there, but this one is perfect for beginners and probably intermediate tufters.

I bought this tufting machine as a beginner, and it's been a great buy. The all in one package is perfect for beginners. I recommend buying better quality yarn, but the machine and cutters are great. It's easy to set up, and for everything included, the price is incredible! I did a lot of research before buying the machine, and the brand and type are the best, plus it's much cheaper than buying everything separately.

This gun/kit was great for tufting beginners. It worked well and got me excited about tufting. Unfortunately, the cut pile feature stopped working and began to malfunction and dull rapidly on only my third canvas. This has resulted in my cut pile rugs having random looped sections and entire looped sections. This has made them difficult to create and left them uneven and disfigured. The scissors have also dulled quickly, and the plate plastic/wood immediately became worn/loose/insecure, causing ripples and uneven shaving. I have had to shave by hand all the time. The yarn that comes with it is minimalist and cheap, but it is useful for first practice or for small details if you don't want to buy a whole roll. I have been trying to find a customer service phone number and cannot find one. Customer service, please contact me. I would like a replacement/refund. This would have had a multi star review if things hadn't gone wrong so quickly. Hoping this can be resolved.
